Richard graduated from the Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies in 2006. He has spent the last seven years working in small animal practice in Stoke-on Trent and then in the North east of England. In this time he developed a particular interest in ophthalmology and gained the modular certificate in Ophthalmology in 2010. He has been drawn back to Edinburgh to join the team of vets working full-time at Batchelor Davidson and Watson - to further his interest in ophthalmology as well as for his love of the city.
Kate graduated from the University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine & Science in 2012. She worked in a busy small animal hospital for three years prior to joining the practice in November 2015. Kate has gained her Certificate in Ophthalmology and assists Richard McCallum with ophthalmology referrals.
Sinead graduated from the Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies in 1996 and has worked in or near Edinburgh in small animal practice ever since. Sinead joined the practice in 2005, lives in Edinburgh, has a young family and works part time consulting at both the branch and main surgery
Malcolm graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Edinburgh University, in 1979. He is a member of the BVA/KC/ISDS Eye Panel providing Eye Tests here at the practice.
Lisa joined the practice in July 2001 and went onto complete her Veterinary Nursing Diploma and now leads our team of nurses. She enjoys being part of the team and thrives on giving the best care to animals and clients alike. Lisa is hoping to have her own dog soon but for now enjoys helping to look after her parents three mischievous dogs!
After locuming in a number of practices Sophie joined the practice in December 2008 after completing her Honours Degree in Veterinary Nursing early that year. She enjoys many aspects of nursing and has a particular interest in surgical care. Sophie is a keen polo player and has her own horse “P”.
Kayleigh joined the practice in April 2008 after completing her Honours degree in Veterinary Nursing. She enjoys all aspects of nursing especially the pet weight clinics run here by our nurses. Kayleigh has a pet cat named “Tabby” who she rescued from the Edinburgh Cat Protection League, Tabby came into the surgery to be neutered and Kayleigh could not resist and re-homed her!
Jane joined the practice in February 1990. After two breaks to have her children, Cameron and Niamh, she now works part time at our Newhaven Road surgery.
Chris joined the practice in 2008 and quickly became an invaluable member of the team. She works part time at our Newhaven Road surgery.
